The Academy is a state scientific organization, which is based on state ownership and uses rights of self-government that lies in collective management bodies and their election, the self-determination of its structure and themes of research, solving scientific, organizational and personnel issues, economic activities and the implementation of international research relations based on laws of Ukraine. The main objective of the Academy is scientific support for the development of industries of agro-industrial complex of Ukraine: fundamental scientific research in the field of agriculture, development based on new scientific knowledge for innovative products of agriculture, the use of which should contribute to increased production of competitive agricultural products; development of new and improvement of existing methods and techniques of scientific work.
